Limassol Molos Promenade, an enjoyable walk
Limassol is a city on the southern coast of Cyprus and capital of the eponymous district. Limassol is the second largest urban area in Cyprus I’ve been living in Limassol for 6 years now and I’ve seen all the city improvements and all the new developments happening. One of the best improvements is the Promenade area (called Molos). They have done an amazing job. It’s right in the center of Limassol, near the Castle and Limassol Marina. I’ve been going for a walk here the last few weeks and I really enjoy it. Molos is a lovely area with paved paths, palm trees, sculptures, grass areas and decks going over the sea. There are some playgrounds for the kids, a skateboard stage, mini parks, benches to sit and water fountains. You’ll see many fishermen there fishing (and getting some fish – and octopus too). You can also rent a bike from the rental points and get around. You can also find some outdoor exercise machines and exercise. The area gets quite busy after 7pm during summer. I’ve noticed that there are many people walking as part of a healthy routine between 7-10pm. If you like walking your dog, apparently this is not the area to do so since dogs are not allowed. There are a few cafes across i.e.the Yellow Lounge Café Delice, Thalassaki and during summer you’ll see many stands selling charcoal sweet corn. When you stroll around Molos you can get back to the main road. If you don’t have a car you can take bus No. 30 any go anywhere you wish within Limassol. Enjoy my photos
