Check-In Experience
When we arrived at the Cavo Maris Beach Hotel, the check-in process was quick and efficient. Even though we got there before the usual check-in time, the staff made us feel welcome. They gave us beach towels right away so we could use the pool and offered a safe place to store our things until the room was ready. This helpful service made our early arrival stress-free and set a positive tone for the entire stay.
Our Elite Cavo Maris Room
During our stay, we had a Deluxe Elite Family Suite on the 5th floor with a great sea view. The suite was big, around 34 to 50 square meters, and had a big balcony with amazing views of the Protaras coastline. The room was modern and had a choice of double or twin beds, as well as sofa beds, making it suitable for couples and families. It could comfortably fit up to four people. The suite had two nice bathrooms: one with a bath and a rain shower, and another with a separate rain shower.
The amenities were really good, with comfortable mattresses, individual climate control, and spacious wardrobes. The suite also had modern things like a 43” Smart TV with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi, USB charger outlets, and a small fridge. There were also bathrobes, slippers, a thermos flask (so you can fill it in with drinking water from a tab available on each floor), and a coffee machine. There is also an in-room safe and a music radio system in both bathrooms connected with the TV. If needed, guests could request an iron and ironing board and an electricity adaptor. Overall, the suite was comfortable, luxurious, and practical.
Dining Options
Pools
Outdoor Swimming Pools: The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools, one for kids, which are always clean. An attractive swim-up bar is directly connected to our “Sirena” pool bar. The kids’ pool is large, safe, and located next to the playground. To get a spot near the kids’ pool, you need to go early and leave your belongings there. If you have small kids who will ideally be in the small pool, it’s worth getting up early!
Indoor Swimming Pool: There’s another swimming pool inside the Spa area with a jacuzzi. You need to make a reservation to access it. This area is meant for relaxation, so it’s not recommended for kids to maintain a peaceful environment for others.
Spa & Wellness
During my stay, I took advantage of the Vitality Spa, booking a combined services offer that was available at the time. The experience was nothing short of amazing. The staff at the spa were exceptionally polite and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my visit was enjoyable. Before starting my treatments, I could use a dedicated shower area, which was a nice touch. After the spa services, I relaxed in the indoor pool, which added an extra layer of tranquillity to the experience. The spa also features a well-equipped gym for those looking to stay active. Overall, the spa and wellness centre provided a perfect retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation. Kids Activities
Turtle Kids Club: The Turtle Kids Club is a great place for children. It’s open every day from 10 a.m. Kids can do activities like painting, jewelry-making, and bowling. My kids loved these activities. The staff was great—friendly and good at keeping the kids happy. Parents can leave their children if they are over four years old or stay and relax on the couch while their kids play.
Kids Playground: The kids’ playground outside is close to the children’s pool and always open. Children can play freely in a secure environment. My kids enjoyed the playground with its fun and safe play equipment.
Kids Entertainment: We loved the daily entertainment activities at the animation area. There were lots of engaging events like darts, dancing, kids’ yoga, magic show and a lively kids’ disco. The magic show was a big hit for my kids! They enjoyed every activity and the variety kept them happily entertained throughout our stay. The diverse program ensured there was always something fun to look forward to.
Entertainment
The Coral Bar Terrace was our favourite spot for evening relaxation and fun. Every night, we would have a drink and listen to live music, making it the perfect place to unwind after a busy day. The hotel offered a variety of entertainment options, including family bingo and a magic show.
Recreation Park
The Cavo Maris Beach Hotel offers a beautiful garden with a Cypriot touch and a relaxing park area with tall trees that provide ample shade and flowing waters. Nearby is the Kafeneio, where you can enjoy the best coffee with a breathtaking sea view.
Hotel Lounges
The hotel features a TV lounge in a pleasant area with a large couch and big screen where guests can watch TV, as well as a quiet lounge where they can relax, read a book, or work.
Customer Support
The hotel’s customer support was excellent throughout our stay. We received warm and efficient service when we arrived at the reception. The housekeeping staff kept our room clean and comfortable. The waiters and restaurant staff were attentive and friendly, and the pool attendants were equally helpful. This high level of service made our stay enjoyable and stress-free.
Loyalty Program
At Cavo Maris Beach Hotel, the Loyalty Scheme shows their appreciation for returning guests. It’s more than just a program; it’s a genuine way of saying thank you to those who choose to stay with them again and again. On our second visit, we enjoyed Silver Class Membership benefits. When we arrived, the hotel gave us a bottle of sparkling wine and traditional sweet Loukoumi to welcome us, adding a special touch to our stay. Additionally, for families with young children, there was a cuddly toy in our room, making the experience even more delightful for our little one. These considerate gestures showed us that the hotel is dedicated to making returning guests feel truly valued and appreciated.
Accessibility
It’s worth noting that the Cavo Maris Beach Hotel is accessible to all. It pays a lot of attention to people who need these facilities, allowing everyone to enjoy a lovely holiday. The hotel has ramps on all level grounds, disabled parking spaces, easy access to the nearby beach, reserved sunbeds for people with disabilities, and, most importantly, a pool lift to provide easy access to the outdoor pool.
Recommendation
After spending 5 days here, I plan on returning! It felt like home, and the people were fantastic. The quality of service is top-notch, the food is excellent, and the atmosphere is fantastic. I’m looking forward to coming back soon!
